Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament
The Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament is held in New York City at the famed Madison Square Garden which became a subtle but intentional element in the 2014 logo redesign. 2017 marked 35 years at MSG as reflected in the anniversary logo showcasing the distinguishable building. Since then, the logo design has evolved to have the graphic of MSG take center stage.
Over the years, we’ve designed a variety of branding and marketing assets for the Big East Conference and their sporting events, including their renowned Men’s Basketball Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
We redesigned the Big East Tournament logo in 2014 and it remained the same until 2017 when the organization wanted to commemorate their 35th anniversary at Madison Square Garden with a special anniversary logo. Since then, the logo has evolved a bit, continuing to highlight the MSG connection. In 2022, we integrated a graphic element to honor their 40th anniversary at MSG.
Each we we start by setting the tone for the visual language of the event with the design of the program cover and tickets. That language is then carried out to the rest of the marketing materials, digital assets, and signage for a cohesive look throughout the event.
